What to expect @ The vet behaviour clinic

If you aren’t sure what time frame will suit you and your pet, here is a quick outline to help guide you.

Dr Rich has asked you to schedule a 15 minute appointment to review a limited number of recent treatment interventions. Your pet is doing well and you’re happy with their progress. You require minor adjustment to the treatment plan. You have 1-2 simple questions or concerns to discuss. This will likely allow time to make 1-2 changes to the plan before scheduling another brief revisit.

Your pet is improving but you’re still experiencing some challenges. You need help working through a specific issue. The current plan needs some adjustments. You have multiple questions or concerns to discuss. Best for routine revisits where some additional guidance is needed, particularly if there is need to discuss behaviour modification (training).

Your progress has slowed or stopped. You are experiencing new behavioural concerns or your pet's behaviour has changed. You have multiple concerns to discuss. Best for more complex revisits that require additional problem solving and planning, including behaviour modification.

Your pet's behaviour has worsened. You’re feeling overwhelmed and have multiple concerns to address. Multiple parts of the behaviour plan needs to be reviewed in detail. Best for complex cases that require a thorough review and a new or significantly revised plan. This option is available for anyone who needs more time to process the information discussed or for support in their care-giver role for their pet.

NB: If you have not been seen for > 12 months, we may request you book for 60 minutes. This will allow us to review what has happened since we last spoke and amend the treatment plan as required.

Once your survey has been emailed, please follow the below link to create a client file. Follow the next steps to book your initial behaviour consultation.

Once we receive your survey and appointment request, a team member will be in touch to confirm your appointment and arrange for the deposit of $150 to be paid.

Please note, appointments cannot be confirmed until the completed survey is received and the deposit is paid.
